The Shop Truck

Introducing the “Silva Sportswear” shop truck…
We thought a mildly customized shop truck would be appropriate. Utility aside, It would also provide aesthetic value as an advertising platform, and hey who doesn’t like old trucks?
Historical precedence abounds. The likes of Winfield, Barris and Alexander Bros are but a few, who have built outstanding examples.
Specifically ours will be a very mild custom, an early to mid 1950′s vibe will dictate its direction.
We chose a 1940 Ford for this project. Our example hails from the pacific northwest and credit goes to “Cory Swenson” for initially saving it from a certain death.
Stay tuned as we transform our lump of coal…its gonna be a diamond someday.

Love the stance! I recently just purchased an all original 1940 Ford Truck from the original owner here in Austin. My buddy, Cory Moore, Austin Speed Shop, showed me the shop truck project as a stance model. Looking for some info: The front rims look stock … are the rear rims stock? Also what tire manuf and size are the front? rear?
As for the front end: any idea how they dropped it? Thanks, Richard

Thanks…It has a combination of 7:00-16 Rear & 5:50-16 firestone www’s on stock Ford wheels.
The front end has a stock front axle dropped, looks like about 3in. A raised front crossmember and a few leafs removed.
Keep watching!
